An ardent believer in a proactive approach to women’s health, Dr. Healy empowers each woman to achieve her health goals by emphasizing healthy lifestyle choices, exercise, nutrition and preventive health maintenance. She enjoys helping to meet the unique healthcare needs of women from adolescence, through maternity care, into menopause and beyond.
When medical intervention is necessary, she is able to offer expert care in both traditional medical and surgical techniques as well as a full array of newer, state of the art, less invasive options. Minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomy and robotic surgery have become a special area of interest and expertise for Dr. Healy. These newer techniques have transformed the experience of major surgery for many patients - allowing a hysterectomy or similar procedure to be accomplished on an outpatient bases with a one to two week expected recovery period rather than the traditional four day hospital stay and six week recovery. She is also pleased to help patients avoid a visit to the operating room at all by offering in office in procedures such as Novasure endometrial ablation for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, Essure tubal sterilization, and LEEP and Cryo therapy for the treatment of abnormal cervical cells.
The proud mother of three children, she is actively involved in their various activities and in her school and church community. She is also the enthusiastic coach of her daughter’s soccer team, an avid runner and an adventurous cook.
